하나님 은혜로 우리는 값진 구원을 값없이 누리게 되었어요. 그러니 몸도 마음도 새롭게 변화되어 하나님 뜻을 따라 살아가야 해요. 더는 세상 풍조를 따르지 말고 하나님 보시기에 선한 것, 기쁨이 되는 것, 완전한 것이 무엇인지 분별하고 선택해야 해요. 이것이 하나님이 바라시는 영적 예배예요.
By God’s grace, we have freely received a priceless salvation. Therefore, both our hearts and lives must be transformed to follow God’s will. We should no longer conform to the ways of this world but discern and choose what is good, pleasing, and perfect in the eyes of God. This is the true spiritual worship that God desires.
■ 인도자를 위한 본문 이해 (Understanding Scripture for the Leader)

Romans chapters 1–11 explain what the gospel is, while chapter 12 and beyond teach how God’s redeemed children should live. Romans 12:1 begins with the word “Therefore,” which connects back to God’s plan of salvation and His mercy revealed in chapter 11. Because of God’s mercy, believers are to offer their entire lives as living sacrifices pleasing to Him. This is a voluntary act of devotion by those who have received His grace. In the Old Testament, worshipers offered unblemished animals as sacrifices by killing them. Today, our spiritual act of worship is to put to death our sinful nature and live daily according to God’s will. Paul calls this a “living sacrifice,” which is true spiritual worship. While formal Sunday worship services are important, acknowledging God’s lordship and living according to His will in every area of daily life is equally essential. God’s people must discern what is good, pleasing, and perfect in His sight and act upon these convictions. When not only our words but also our values are transformed, we can truly offer ourselves as living sacrifices in spiritual worship.

“내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 사는 것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사시는 것이라
이제 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 자신을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라”(갈 2:20).
In the Old Testament, worshipers offered unblemished animals as sacrifices, but Paul exhorts us to offer our own bodies as “living and holy sacrifices.” This means putting to death our sinful nature and living according to God’s Word. In other words, when we die to ourselves and live through Christ (Galatians 2:20), we become living sacrifices that please God and offer true spiritual worship.
Paul explains in detail what it looks like to offer ourselves as living sacrifices:
First, do not conform to this world, for its values often contradict God’s will.
Second, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. By the Holy Spirit’s grace, our hearts of stone are softened, and this inner change leads to outward transformation.
Third, discern what God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will is. God must be the center of all our choices, and when He is, we live lives that bring joy to Him.
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Christians must live as holy worshipers even in their everyday lives. This requires that our thoughts and hearts be transformed to focus on God. A good way to cultivate this is by practicing spiritual habits daily, such as prayer, quiet time, worship, charity, and good deeds. These are often not valued by the world, but persistent spiritual training brings inner transformation and enables us to live as holy, living sacrifices pleasing to God. As believers living in the world, we also need wisdom to discern whether our actions align with God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will. The Christian life is built on daily choices, and as we continually choose to follow God’s will, we grow into mature believers.
