아담 안에서 모든 사람은 죄인이고 영원히 형벌받아야 하는 존재였어요. 그러나 예수님이 우리가 받아야 할 저주와 형벌을 십자가에서 대신 받으셨어요. 예수님 안에 있는 사람은 더는 정죄받지 않고 자유와 생명을 누릴 수 있어요. 생명을 주시는 성령이 우리를 죄와 죽음에서 해방하셨기 때문이에요.
All people in Adam were sinners who deserved eternal punishment. But Jesus bore the curse and punishment we should have received on the cross. Therefore, those who are in Jesus are no longer condemned but can enjoy freedom and life, because the Spirit who gives life has set us free from sin and death.

바울은 시편 기자의 말을 인용하며 ‘하나님 앞에 의인은 하나도 없다’고 말했어요(3:10~12). 모든 사람은 태어날 때부터 죄인이라는 거예요. 죄를 지은 사람은 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못하고(3:23), 평생 죄와 사망의 법 아래에서 종노릇하며 살 수밖에 없어요. 그러나 하나님은 예수님을 통해 인류의 모든 죄를 십자가에서 해결해 주셨어요. 죽임당하시고 부활하신 예수님은 ‘생명의 주’가 되셨어요. 예수님의 대속 사건을 믿는 사람에게는 더는 죄인이라는 꼬리표가 달리지 않아요. 예수님이 모든 죄를 깨끗이 씻어 주셨기 때문이에요. 예수님을 믿는 모든 사람에게는 죄와 사망의 법이 적용되지 않고, 생명의 성령의 법이 적용돼요. 죄인을 밤낮 참소하던 사망 권세는 예수님의 십자가 앞에서 무력해졌어요(계 12:10). 예수님을 믿고 하나님 자녀가 된 사람이 따라야 할 법은 생명을 주시는 성령의 법이에요. 우리는 하나님의 뜻을 분별하고 하나님의 기쁨이 되는 삶을 살아야 해요(롬 12:2).

“내가 또 들으니 하늘에 큰 음성이 있어 이르되 이제 우리 하나님의 구원과 능력과 나라와 또 그의 그리스도의 권세가 나타났으니 우리 형제들을 참소하던 자 곧 우리 하나님 앞에서 밤낮 참소하던 자가 쫓겨났고”(계 12:10).
“너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라”(롬 12:2).
Paul quotes the psalmist, saying, “There is no one righteous, not even one” (3:10–12). This means that every person is a sinner from birth. Sinners cannot reach the glory of God (3:23) and live enslaved under the law of sin and death all their lives. But God solved the problem of all humanity’s sin on the cross through Jesus. The crucified and risen Christ became the “Lord of life.” For those who believe in Jesus’ atoning work, the label of “sinner” is removed, because He has cleansed every sin. For all who believe, the law of sin and death no longer applies; instead, the law of the Spirit of life takes effect. The power of death that accused sinners day and night was defeated at the cross of Christ (Rev. 12:10). From now on, those who believe in Jesus and become God’s children must live by the law of the Spirit who gives life, discerning God’s will and living to please Him (Rom. 12:2).

God is holy, so a sinner cannot draw near to Him. In the Old Testament, people could come before God only through atoning sacrifices offered by the priest. Yet these sacrifices could never completely solve the problem of sin (Heb. 10:11). God sent His only Son, Jesus, who was without sin, to this world. On the cross, He completely solved humanity’s sin once and for all (Heb. 7:27). We are no longer condemned because the law of the Spirit who gives life has set us free from the law of sin and death. The “law of the Spirit of life” refers to the eternal life given by the Spirit through the gospel, while the “law of sin and death” refers to the law. Those who believe in Jesus are no longer sinners, and the law of death no longer applies.

Romans 8:1–2 contains the core of the gospel. In Adam, the representative of sinners, all people were destined for eternal punishment. But Jesus, the representative of the righteous, bore the punishment for all on the cross. Therefore, we are no longer tied to sin. Anyone who believes in Jesus’ atoning work is no longer condemned but saved. The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (1:16). The Spirit leads us into the way of life. Those who receive new life through the Spirit are set free from the law of sin and death and enjoy true freedom. We give thanks to Jesus, who bore the cross to give us this grace.
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

3. 신문지를 돌돌 말아 마이크 손잡이를 만들고, 동그랗게 공 모양으로 뭉쳐 마이크 윗부분을 만듭니다.
4. 신문지로 만든 마이크를 쿠킹포일로 감싼 뒤 셀로판테이프로 손잡이에 붙입니다.
5. 종이에 ‘나는 하나님의 사랑받는 자녀’라는 내용을 담은 자기 소개문을 씁니다.

“Introducing Myself”
<I Am a Child of God>
Materials: Foam board or a large box, colored paper, newspaper, aluminum foil, clear tape, knife or scissors, paper, and writing tools
1. Use the foam board or box to make a large TV frame.
2. Cover the TV frame with colored paper to decorate it like a real TV.
3. Roll newspaper into a stick to make the microphone handle, and crumple another piece into a ball to form the top part of the microphone.
4. Wrap the newspaper microphone with aluminum foil and attach it to the handle with tape.
5. On a sheet of paper, write an introduction that includes the phrase “I am a beloved child of God.”
6. Each family member takes turns standing inside the TV frame, holding the microphone, and introducing themselves.
Make sure the self-introductions connect with the truth that “God loves me.” For example:
“I am Kim ○○, loved by God. My strength is ***. A habit I need to change is ***. When I grow up, I want to be ***, because ***.”
