God, thank You for embracing us with Your love and grace. Through this time of worship, help us to know the heart of our heavenly Father more deeply, and lead us to live according to Your will.

4. 본문 이해 (Understanding the Scripture)
기도할 때는 하나님을 향한 믿음과 인내가 필요해요. 예수님은 “구하라, 찾으라, 두드리라.”라고 말씀하시며 끈기 있게 기도하라고 교훈하셨어요. 우리의 필요를 다 아시는 아버지 하나님은 기도로 우리와 교제하길 원하세요. 그리고 인내하며 믿음으로 기도하는 사람에게 좋은 것으로 응답해 주세요.
When we pray, we need faith in God and perseverance. Jesus taught us to pray persistently by saying, “Ask, seek, knock.” Our Father God, who knows all our needs, desires to have fellowship with us through prayer. And to those who pray with patience and faith, He responds with good gifts.
■ 인도자를 위한 본문 이해 (Understanding Scripture for the Leader)
산상수훈 후반부에서 예수님은 아버지 하나님께 기도하는 것에 대해 말씀하셨습니다. 기도는 하나님이 그분의 자녀에게 주신 특권입니다. 아버지 하나님이 계신다는 사실을 믿고 의지하면, 우리 힘으로 할 수 없는 일을 기도로 하나님께 말씀드릴 수 있습니다. 예수님은 “구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그리하면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 끊임없이 간절히 기도하라는 의미입니다. 하나님은 우리가 그분을 신뢰하며 기도하기를 원하십니다. 예수님은 하나님의 아들이시기에 하나님이 어떤 분인지 누구보다도 잘 아셨습니다. 그래서 기도하면 반드시 응답해 주신다는 것을 확신하셨습니다. 예수님은 아버지와 아들의 비유로 하나님의 사랑을 설명하셨습니다. 아들이 떡을 달라는데 돌을 줄 아버지가 없고, 생선을 달라는데 뱀을 줄 아버지는 없습니다. 육신의 아버지가 자녀에게 좋은 것을 주려고 하는 것처럼, 하늘에 계신 아버지는 기도하고 구하는 자녀에게 가장 좋은 것을 주고자 하십니다. 하나님은 우리의 기도를 외면하지 않으시고 가장 좋은 것으로 응답해 주시는 분입니다. 그래서 바울도 “쉬지 말고 기도하라”(살전 5:17), “아무것도 염려하지 말고…하나님께 아뢰라”(빌 4:6)라고 권면했습니다. 하나님의 자녀가 된 사람에게는 자신의 소원과 필요를 아버지께 말씀드릴 수 있는 특권이 있다는 사실을 기억하길 바랍니다.
In the latter part of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches about praying to God the Father. Prayer is a privilege that God has given to His children. When we believe in and rely on the fact that we have a Father in heaven, we can bring to God in prayer the things we cannot handle by our own strength.
Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” This means to pray continually and earnestly. God desires His children to trust Him and come to Him in prayer. Because Jesus is the Son of God, He knew better than anyone who God is, and He was confident that God surely answers prayer.
Jesus explained God’s love through the illustration of a father and a child. No father would give his child a stone when he asks for bread, or a snake when he asks for a fish. Just as earthly fathers desire to give good things to their children, our Father in heaven desires to give the very best to His children who ask Him in prayer. God does not ignore our prayers but responds with what is truly good.
For this reason, the apostle Paul also exhorted believers to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to “not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6). Remember that those who have become children of God have the privilege of bringing their desires and needs to their Father in prayer.

▒ 인도자를 위한 해설 (Commentary for the Leader)
예수님은 기도가 얼마나 중요한 일인지 말씀해 주셨습니다. 기도는 연약한 우리에게 주시는 하나님의 선물 같은 기회입니다. 하나님은 우리가 무엇을 구하는지, 무엇을 찾는지, 또 어떤 문이 열리기를 바라는지 모두 알고 계시며 그 모든 것을 도와주시는 분입니다. 우리는 하나님께 기도할 때 얻을 수 있고, 찾을 수 있고, 해결되는 은혜를 누릴 수 있습니다. 아버지 하나님은 육신의 아버지와 비교할 수 없을 만큼 우리를 사랑하시며, 우리의 필요를 아시고 가장 좋은 것으로 채워 주십니다. 그래서 아버지 하나님께 기도해야 합니다. 하나님의 응답을 신뢰하고, 절대로 포기하거나 낙심하지 말고, 끈질기게 꾸준히 기도하며 하나님께 나아가야 합니다.
Jesus teaches us how important prayer is. Prayer is like a precious gift God gives to us in our weakness. God knows what we are asking for, what we are seeking, and which doors we long to see opened, and He is the One who helps us in all these things. Through prayer, we experience the grace of receiving, finding, and seeing answers unfold. God the Father loves us far more than any earthly father ever could. He knows our needs and fills them with what is truly best for us. That is why we are to pray to Him. Trust in God’s response, never give up or become discouraged, and continue to come before Him with perseverance and faith.

Think about what you have been praying to God for recently. Consider whether your prayer is based on your own desires or aligns with God’s will. Share if there have been times when you felt like giving up or felt disappointed while praying. Talk about different experiences you have had through prayer. Encourage one another to keep coming to God in prayer, trusting our heavenly Father who gives us what is best.
6. 감사하기 (Gratitude)
하나님께 감사드리고 싶은 일을 세 가지 정도 기록하게 한 후에 함께 나눕니다. 일상에서 경험한 크고 작은 감사나 예배중에 생각난 감사를 나누어도 되고, 평범한 일상을 누리게 하시는 은혜에 대한 감사를 나누어도 됩니다. 감사를 나눔으로 하나님 은혜를 기억하고 하나님 중심의 삶을 훈련하게 됩니다.
Write down three things you would like to thank God for and share them together. You may share small or big moments of gratitude from daily life, things that came to mind during worship, or thanksgiving for the blessings of ordinary life. Sharing gratitude helps us remember God’s grace and trains us to live God-centered lives.
7. 기도 (Prayer)
하나님! 가장 좋은 것을 주길 원하시는 아버지 하나님 앞에 정직하게 기도하고, 인내로 기다리는 믿음을 저희에게 허락해 주세요. 그래서 구한 것을 받고, 찾는 것을 찾아내고, 두드린 문이 열리는 응답의 주인공이 되게 해 주세요.
God, our loving Father who desires to give us what is best, help us to pray honestly before You and grant us faith to wait with patience. Let us experience answers to prayer—receiving what we ask for, finding what we seek, and seeing doors opened as we knock.

8. 가족 미션 (Family Mission)
‘가족이 함께하는 놀이’
<보물찾기와 기도 편지 쓰기>
* 준비물: 작은 메모지, 필기도구, 선물(간단한 간식, 배달 음식 쿠폰, 혹은 평소 갖고 싶었던 선물 등)
1. 작은 메모지 여러 장을 하나씩 접습니다.
2. 접은 종이를 각자 여러 개 가져가 다른 가족이 보지 못하도록 집 안 곳곳에 숨깁니다.
3. 다른 가족이 숨긴 종이를 제한 시간(5분 정도) 내에 찾습니다.
4. 종이를 찾은 수만큼 선물을 줍니다.
5. 종이 뒷면에 하나님께 구하는 기도 제목을 한 가지 이상 적습니다.
6. 종이를 펼쳐 놓고 기도 제목을 나눈 뒤 가족이 함께 기도합니다.
보상할 선물을 준비하지 못했다면, 찾은 쪽지에 선물을 적고 나중에 반드시 보상해 줄 것을 약속하세요. 혹은 소원 들어주기 쿠폰으로 대신해도 좋아요. 쪽지를 찾는 과정에서 ‘하나님께 구하고 찾고 두드리는 것’이 어떤 의미로 다가왔는지 나누어 보고, 우리 가족이 언제나 기도로 하나님께 나아가도록 서로 격려해 주세요.
“A Family Game Time”
<Treasure Hunt & Writing Prayer Letters>
Preparations: Small note papers, writing tools, gifts (simple snacks, food-delivery coupons, or something the family members have wanted)
1. Fold several small note papers, one by one.
2. Each family member takes several folded notes and hides them around the house where others cannot see.
3. Find the notes hidden by other family members within a limited time (about 5 minutes).
4. Give a gift for each note that is found.
5. On the back of each note, write at least one prayer request you want to bring before God.
6. Open the notes, share the prayer requests, and pray together as a family.
If it is difficult to prepare gifts in advance, write the gift on the note and promise to give it later. You may also use “wish-granting coupons” instead. As you search for the notes, talk together about what it means to “ask, seek, and knock” before God. Encourage one another to always come to God in prayer as a family.

3. 하나님 앞에 드릴 헌금을 정성스럽게 준비합니다. – Prepare offering wholeheartedly.
4. 단정한 옷을 준비합니다.– Prepare neat clothes.
5. 하나님이 기쁘게 받으시는 주일예배가 되도록 기도합니다. – Pray for a Sunday service that is pleasing to God.
