4. 본문 이해 (Understanding the Scripture)
세상 모든 일은 하나님이 주관하세요. 그분이 허락하지 않으시면 참새 한 마리도 땅에 떨어지지 않아요. 그러니 우리에게 두려움을 주는 사람 앞에서 겁낼 것 없어요. 참새보다 귀중한 우리를 하나님이 지켜 주시니까요. 그분은 우리 머리카락도 세실 만큼 우리를 잘 아시고 지키시는 사랑의 하나님이에요.
God is sovereign over everything in the world. Not even a single sparrow falls to the ground without His permission. Therefore, we do not need to be afraid of people who try to intimidate us. God watches over us, who are far more precious than sparrows. He is a loving God who knows us so well that He even counts the hairs on our heads and faithfully protects us.
■ 인도자를 위한 본문 이해 (Understanding Scripture for the Leader)
예수님은 제자들에게 세상 권세자들의 위협을 두려워하지 말고 오직 하나님만을 두려워하라고 교훈하십니다. 특별히 복음을 전하는 사람은 어떤 상황에서도 하나님만 두려워하는 믿음이 있어야 합니다. 하나님을 두려워한다는 것은 벌을 주시는 하나님을 무서워하는 것이 아닙니다. 우리를 누구보다 소중히 여기시고 돌보시는 하나님에 대한 경외심을 의미합니다. 하나님은 참새 한 마리도 그냥 떨어지지 않도록 돌보시는 분입니다. 사람들이 하찮게 여기는 참새 한 마리도 소중히 여기시는 하나님은 참새보다 귀한 존재인 사람은 더 소중히 여기시며 보호해 주십니다. 하나님은 그분의 형상으로 지으신 사람을 특별한 사랑으로 돌보십니다. 하나님은 우리가 겪는 모든 일을 아시고 우리를 돌보시는 분입니다. 그러므로 사람을 두려워할 이유가 없습니다. 사람에게 위협받고 두려움을 느낄 때 우리는 하나님을 더 힘 있게 의지해야 합니다. 오직 하나님만이 생명의 주관자시며, 우리를 구원하시는 분이기 때문입니다.
Jesus teaches His disciples not to fear the threats of worldly powers, but to fear God alone. Those who proclaim the gospel especially need a faith that fears only God, no matter the circumstances. Fearing God does not mean being afraid of punishment; rather, it means having reverent awe for God, who values us above all else and lovingly cares for us. God is the One who watches over even a single sparrow so that it does not fall without His knowledge. If God cares so deeply for a sparrow—something people often consider insignificant—how much more does He care for human beings, who are far more precious. God lovingly watches over people whom He created in His own image. He knows everything we go through and continues to care for us. Therefore, there is no reason to fear people. When we feel threatened or afraid because of others, we should rely on God even more firmly, because He alone is the Lord of life and the One who saves us.

세상 사람들은 복음 전하는 것을 싫어하고, 또 예수님의 제자들을 박해한다는 사실을 말해 주세요. 예수님 시대 이스라엘에서도 그랬고, 지금도 여러 나라에서 예수님을 믿는다는 이유로 비난하고 생명까지 위협하는 일이 일어나고 있습니다. 그래서 예수님은 장차 어려움을 겪을 제자들에게 진짜 두려워할 대상이 누구인지 분명하게 알려 주셨습니다.
Explain that people in the world often dislike the preaching of the gospel and persecute Jesus’ disciples. This was true in Israel during Jesus’ time, and it is still true today—there are countries where people are criticized and even have their lives threatened simply for believing in Jesus. Because of this, Jesus clearly told His disciples, who would face future hardships, who they should truly fear.

Satan strongly opposes the spread of the gospel. That is why sharing the gospel is often accompanied by suffering, persecution, contempt, and rejection. Jesus spoke in advance about the difficulties His disciples would face while proclaiming the gospel. He told them not to be afraid when they are arrested and brought before worldly authorities. Even if those in power use their strength and authority to imprison them or threaten their lives, Jesus said they should not fear. When we know that God is far greater than any power in this world, we no longer need to fear people.
In Jesus’ time, sparrows were very cheap and common. They were sold for one assarion, which was about one-sixteenth of a Roman laborer’s daily wage (one denarius). Yet not even a small sparrow falls to the ground without God’s permission. Moreover, God counts even the hairs on our heads. He knows every detail of our lives and is fully aware of every situation we face. Those who believe in and rely on this God have already received salvation and therefore do not fear physical death. The sword wielded by worldly powers can only harm the body, but God rules over both heaven and hell.
Therefore, the proper attitude of those who proclaim the gospel is not to fear the world or people, but to trust and rely on God alone. Even today, God continues to accomplish amazing works of the gospel through those who fear Him and put their faith in Him.

▒ 인도자를 위한 가이드
아이들에게 무엇을 가장 두려워하는지 물어보세요(벌레, 시험, 친구, 선생님 등). 학교에서, 학원에서, 병원에서, 친구 관계 등에서 느끼는 두려운 상황을 구체적으로 나누게 합니다. 그리고 두려움이 생길 때 하나님을 어떻게 기억하면 좋을지 이야기해 봅니다. 만약 자녀가 하나님을 잘 모르거나 하나님에 대한 믿음이 약하다면, 본문과 연결 지어 하나님이 어떤 분인지 알려 주세요(만물을 지으시고 다스리시는 하나님, 우리를 지으신 하나님, 나의 머리카락까지 세시는 하나님 등).
Ask the children what they are most afraid of (bugs, tests, friends, teachers, etc.). Help them share specific situations where they feel fear—at school, at an academy, at the hospital, or in friendships. Then talk together about how they can remember God when fear arises.
If a child does not know God well or has weak faith, connect the discussion to today’s Scripture and explain who God is: God who created and rules all things, God who created us, and God who knows us so well that He even counts the hairs on our heads.
6. 감사하기 (Gratitude)
하나님께 감사드리고 싶은 일을 세 가지 정도 기록하게 한 후에 함께 나눕니다. 일상에서 경험한 크고 작은 감사나 예배 중에 생각난 감사를 나누어도 되고, 평범한 일상을 누리게 하시는 은혜에 대한 감사를 나누어도 됩니다. 감사를 나눔으로 하나님의 은혜를 기억하고 하나님 중심의 삶을 훈련하게 됩니다.
Have the children write down about three things they want to thank God for, and then share them together. They may share big or small moments of gratitude from daily life, things they thought of during worship, or gratitude for the grace of enjoying ordinary daily life. Sharing gratitude helps us remember God’s grace and trains us to live a God-centered life.
7. 기도 (Prayer)
하나님, 저희가 하나님이 돌보시고 지키시는 소중한 존재임을 깨우쳐 주시니 감사합니다. 두려운 일이 생길 때마다 하나님을 먼저 기억하게 해 주세요. 어떤 사람, 어떤 상황 앞에서도 하나님의 사랑을 믿고 담대하게 해 주세요.
God, thank You for helping us realize that we are precious beings whom You care for and protect. When fearful situations arise, help us remember You first. No matter who we face or what situation we are in, help us trust in Your love and live with courage.

8. 가족 미션 (Family Mission)

1. 활동을 시작하기 전에 먼저 “우연처럼 보이는 일도 하나님의 허락 없이는 일어나지 않습니다.”라고 함께 말합니다.
2. 일주일 동안 가족이 겪은 일 중 ‘우연처럼 보이는 일’을 도화지 적습니다. 특별하게 느껴졌던 일은 더 크고 굵은 글씨로 적습니다.
3. 적은 내용을 보면서, 어떤 일이었는지 나눕니다.
4. 한 사람이 이야기를 마칠 때마다, 다른 가족은 “하나님이 [그 일]을 아시고 돌보셨어요!”라고 말합니다.
5. 글자 주변에 말풍선을 그린 후 매직이나 두꺼운 펜으로 ‘하나님이 허락하신 일’이라고 적습니다.

Preparations: a large sheet of drawing paper or a sketchbook, markers
1. Before starting the activity, say together: “Even things that seem like coincidences do not happen without God’s permission.”
2. On the paper, write down events your family experienced during the week that seemed like “coincidences.” Write especially meaningful events in bigger, bolder letters.
3. Look at what you wrote and share what happened in each situation.
4. After one person finishes sharing, the rest of the family says together: “God knew about and took care of [that event]!”
5. Draw speech bubbles around the words and write inside them, using markers or thick pens: “An event God allowed.”
6. Close by praying together, confessing your faith that God works in all things and continues to protect and care for your family.
