하나님, 저희 마음을 하나님께로 향하고 하나님을 온전히 예배하길 원합니다. 겸손한 마음으로 말씀에 귀 기울이고, 사랑의 마음으로 순종하게 해 주세요.
God, we want to turn our hearts toward You and worship You wholeheartedly. Please let us listen to the Word with a humble heart and obey with a heart of love.

4. 본문 이해 (Understanding the Scripture)
시편 기자는 마음을 확실히 정하고 하나님을 찬양하겠다고 고백했어요. 찬양은 기분에 따라 하는 것이 아니에요. 우리는 모두 하나님을 찬양하도록 지음받은 존재예요. 우리가 마음을 하나님께로 향하고 하나님의 이름을 높여 찬양하면, 하나님이 기쁘게 받으시고 선하신 뜻대로 응답해 주세요.
The psalmist confessed that he would firmly resolve in his heart and praise God. Praising is not something done according to one’s mood. We are all beings created to praise God. When we turn our hearts toward God and exalt His name in praise, God gladly receives it and responds according to His good will.
■ 인도자를 위한 본문 이해 (Understanding Scripture for the Leader)
108편은 에돔과의 전쟁을 앞둔 상황에서 시편 기자가 하나님의 구원을 소망하며 하나님을 찬송하는 시입니다. 시편 기자는 자신이 처한 상황 때문에 실망하기보다는 하나님께 마음을 정하는 모습을 보여 줍니다. 시편 기자는 자신의 형편이 좋아서 찬양하겠다고 하지 않습니다. 그는 먼저 하나님을 바라보겠다고 결단합니다. ‘마음을 정했다’라는 고백은 감정에 끌려가지 않고 방향을 분명히 정했다는 뜻입니다. 찬양은 하나님을 신뢰한다는 고백과도 같습니다. ‘새벽을 깨운다’라는 표현은 하루를 이른 아침부터 하나님과 함께하겠다는 결심을 나타내는 말입니다. 시편 기자는 하나님의 사랑과 신실하심이 얼마나 큰지를 기억하며 찬양합니다. 하나님의 주권과 능력을 인정하며 고백하는 것이 믿음의 삶입니다. 자녀와 나눌 때는 기분이 좋지 않을 때도, 몸이 힘들 때도 하나님을 먼저 생각할 수 있음을 알려 주길 바랍니다. 믿음은 의지적인 선택입니다. 노래를 잘 부르는 것보다 중요한 것은 하나님을 높이기로 선택하는 믿음의 결단임을 자녀들이 이해하도록 도와주십시오.
Psalm 108 is a psalm in which the psalmist praises God, hoping for His salvation in the face of an impending war with Edom. Rather than being disappointed by his situation, the psalmist shows himself setting his heart on God. The psalmist does not say he will praise because his circumstances are good. He resolves to look to God first. The confession “my heart is steadfast” means that he has clearly set his direction without being swayed by emotions. Praise is also like a confession of trusting God. The expression “awaken the dawn” indicates a resolution to start the day with God from early morning. The psalmist praises while remembering how great God’s love and faithfulness are. A life of faith is acknowledging and confessing God’s sovereignty and power. When sharing with your children, please let them know that they can think of God first even when they are not feeling well or when they are physically tired. Faith is an intentional choice. Help your children understand that a resolution of faith to choose to exalt God is more important than singing well.

First, pay attention to the psalmist’s expression, “my heart is steadfast.” The psalmist shows an intentional resolution, rather than speaking about his situation or feelings. Also, ask, “What did the psalmist intend to do?”, and have them find the expression ‘I will sing and praise’ in the text. In verses 1-2, the psalmist says his heart is steadfast. This confession shows that praise begins with an intentional choice, not his emotions. The psalmist says he will praise God at dawn, the time that begins the day. Dawn is a time before anything else has begun, a time to place God first at the center of life. Furthermore, the psalmist says he will praise not just alone in a private room, but before people and before nations. This is an attitude of revealing and exalting God to the nations. Thanking and praising God are active behaviors that please Him. This teaches us that praise begins with our intentional resolution.

Morning is the time that begins the day and an important point to set the direction of one’s heart and thoughts. Therefore, opening the day with praise gives great benefit to a life of faith and godliness. Have them think about how a life that begins the day with praise differs from a life that begins with complaints. Have each person choose a praise song they want to sing in the morning and share the reason they chose it. Sing the chosen praise songs together. After singing the praise together, share what kind of feelings and grace you felt. Encourage them to sing their chosen praise song every morning for a week to start their day. Remind them that turning their hearts to God while offering praise is more important than singing well.
6. 감사하기 (Gratitude)
하나님께 감사드리고 싶은 일을 세 가지 정도 기록하게 한 후에 함께 나눕니다. 일상에서 경험한 크고 작은 감사나 예배 중에 생각난 감사를 나누어도 되고, 평범한 일상을 누리게 하시는 은혜에 대한 감사를 나누어도 됩니다. 감사를 나눔으로 하나님 은혜를 기억하고 하나님 중심의 삶을 훈련하게 됩니다.
Write down about three things you want to thank God for and share them together. You can share big and small thanks experienced in daily life, thanks that came to mind during worship, or thanks for the grace of enjoying an ordinary daily life. By sharing gratitude, we remember God’s grace and practice living a God-centered life.
7. 기도 (Prayer)
하나님, 저희가 마음을 정하고 찬양으로 하루를 시작하길 원합니다. 하나님이 하신 일들을 찬양하며 하나님의 인도하심을 받는 삶을 살게 해 주세요. 기쁠 때만이 아니라 힘겨울 때도 하나님을 찬양하는 믿음의 사람이 되게 해 주세요.
God, we want to set our hearts and start the day with praise. Please let us live a life guided by God while praising the things God has done. Please let us become people of faith who praise God not only when we are joyful but also when we are struggling.
‘주님이 가르쳐 주신 기도’로 가정예배를 마칩니다.

8. 가족 미션 (Family Mission)
<아침 찬양 카드 만들기>
* 준비물: A4용지 3장, 색연필, 스티커, 종이를 담을 수 있는 바구니(그릇)
1. A4용지를 반으로 접어 자릅니다.
2. 위에 ‘아침 찬양 카드’라고 쓰고, 아래에 부르고 싶은 찬양의 제목을 적습니다.
3. 찬양 카드를 6개 정도 만든 뒤, 찬양 제목마다 어울리는 그림을 그리고 색칠하며 장식합니다.
4. 찬양 카드를 반으로 접어 바구니에 담고, 매일 아침 가족 중 한 명이 카드를 한 장 뽑은 뒤 카드에 적힌 찬양을 가족이 함께 부릅니다.
5. 다음 가정예배 때 한 주간 ‘아침 찬양 카드’를 사용하고 어떤 변화가 있었는지 느낀 점을 함께 나눕니다.
<Making Morning Praise Cards>
* Materials: 3 sheets of A4 paper, colored pencils, stickers, a basket (bowl) to hold the paper
1. Fold the A4 paper in half and cut it.
2. Write ‘Morning Praise Card’ at the top, and write the title of the praise song you want to sing at the bottom.
3. Make about 6 praise cards, then decorate them by drawing and coloring pictures that match each praise title.
4. Fold the praise cards in half and put them in a basket. Every morning, one family member draws a card, and the family sings the praise written on the card together.
5. At the next family worship, share your feelings about any changes you noticed after using the ‘Morning Praise Cards’ for a week.
